About Clearline
A small rental business built around one specific problem: being without a car while yours is being fixed.
Why it exists
Anyone who has left a car at a repair shop knows the next part. You need a ride home, then a ride back, and in between you are negotiating with family schedules or paying for rideshares that add up faster than the repair. The alternative is a rental counter across town, which requires getting across town.
Clearline puts the rental where the repair already is. The service advisor who is already writing up your car is the same person who arranges the rental, and the keys are in the same building.
Who runs it
Stephanie is the owner. Clearline was registered in Texas on , and it is genuinely new — one car, one location, and a deliberately narrow idea of what it is for.
Working with repair shops
Clearline is an independent rental company. It is not owned by, or part of, any repair shop. What it does is work alongside them: a shop's service advisor arranges the rental, the customer deals with Clearline for the car, and the two agreements stay separate. Declining the rental has no bearing on the repair, and vice versa.

Rentals are arranged through participating repair shops today. Opening this up so anyone can book directly is the intention, and this page will say so when it is true rather than before.
